Jason Eddy Bio:
Jason was born in Bermuda and started acting at the age of 10 in BMDS & Gilbert & Sullivan plays and pantomimes. At 16 he left Bermuda to finish his secondary education at Albert College in Ontario, Canada, where he decided he would pursue his dream of becoming a professional actor. Jason then moved to New York to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (Alumni include: Tyne Daly, Paul Sorvino, Jesse Tyler-Ferguson and Janelle Monáe). After finishing his training there he decided to continue his studies in the UK. Jason auditioned and was offered a place at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama (Alumni include: Ewan McGregor, Daniel Craig, Joseph Fiennes, Alfred Molina, Eileen Atkins, Damian Lewis, Orlando Bloom, Michelle Dockery and Hayley Atwell). Jason was one of the first recipients of The Peter Leitner Arts Scholarship for Bermudians studying in the Fine Arts. In 2005 he graduated from Guildhall with a BA (Hons) in Acting.
Since graduating, Jason has worked as a professional actor in London. He has experience in Shakespeare and classical theatre, physical theatre, modern text and devising for theatre as well as having appeared in national and international ad campaigns. He has also attended workshops and worked with internationally renowned theatre practitioners and companies, including DV8, Frantic Assembly, the RSC and the Young Vic. Jason has also been a voice over artist for the award winning Channel 4 News.
Jason brings with him techniques and teaching from renowned drama schools in the UK and the US, as well as his own observations and experiences as a seasoned professional actor. He has experience leading workshops in voice and movement for actors, Shakespeare scene study, modern text as well as a one-on- one acting coaching. Jason continues to learn and has a passion for sharing that learning with all those who want to improve their acting, develop their public speaking skills or simply have a great time performing.
