The play itself...
God of Carnage is a play by Yasmina Reza who wrote the critically acclaimed play "Art" which was produced at City Hall with much success. She now brings us God of Carnage which could best be described as a
highly charged tag-team wrestling match! It has four combatants: married couples Alan and Annette and Veronica and Michael. Alan and Annette's 11-year-old little savage has bashed Michael and Veronica's son (who is
no innocent) in the face with a stick, knocking out a tooth, Veronica has arranged a meeting of the parents to hash things out in a civilized manner.....
The hell that breaks out is hilarious, partly because the two teams not only go at each other, they also sometimes switch sides. It can be partner against partner, or boys against girls, without an ounce of introspection or admission of responsibility on any side. Their childish behavior escalates into a fierce battle of wills.
If you would like to be part of the crew for this show please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 705 9407. We are looking for set builders (construction starts Feb 19th), special effects and backstage and front of house support... it's a fun show... come and play.
